, and that is that gifted kids often don't get the oupprtonity to learn to fail'. That seems to be echoed in one of your comments, that everyone says how wonderful the person is and what a great future they have. They have never had to sit down and really come to grips with learning' the way mere mortals do, and they never have had to (on a regular basis) confronted something that they did that was wrong, and they don't know how to go back and learn from that and become stronger. So when something major happens in their life later on, they have not learnt the life-skills to cope with failure (even what others don't see as failure', they see it that way), and bounce back.Anyway, that may or may not be the case here, but one sees it often with gifted people even someone I know personally, are you listening, Alex?d.
